HWDT is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) charity number SCO22403. It is a company limited by guarantee company number SC172338.
We rely on support from many organisations and individuals and cannot operate without the contributions of its many supporters. We are grateful to all those who have donated time, money and resources so that we can continue our valuable work.
The main remit of HWDT is research, education and conservation. As such, all funding is directed to these purposes. HWDT is not a campaigning organisation, however, will contribute to campaigns that are consistent with our aims, such as those of Scottish Environment LINK (Marine Group) of which we are a member, and in this regard work alongside the other member organisations to help protect Scotland’s marine environment.
